Invisible Roles
Which roles do we take on — consciously or not — and which are placed upon us? The group exhibition Invisible Roles, organised by Hamburg-based fashion label and culture platform APN Gallery, explores the visible and invisible roles carried by those too often overlooked within a predominantly normative society — with a focus on perspectives shaped by BIPoC, FLINTA and queer experience.*
At its centre are questions of attribution, identity, masking and self-empowerment.
As a collective forum, it brings together fashion, textile, visual art, performance and text to surface marginalised perspectives and open new spaces for dialogue.
